" HURRAY...!!! WE WON THE BATTLE..."

" THOUSANDS GATHER AT INDIA GATE TO CELEBRATE ANNA'S WIN..."

Hours after Anna Hazare broke his 13-day fast, thousands gathered at the capital, New Delhi’s landmark India Gate to celebrate Anna’s win.

While Anna still remains in hospital under observation, people across the country have gathered around symbolic venues – Marina Beach in Chennai and Borivali in Mumbai also saw crowds of people gathered to celebrate the victory for the anti-corruption legislation. Many spoke of “people’s power”. Some carried candles. Others wore India Against Corruption t-shirts. Young professionals were especially vocal saying that they would press on for a strong bill.

When supporters were asked who they would like to see in the Lokpal most talked about wanting honest people to run the show. Asked for names, they brought up Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal or Kiran Bedi, perhaps indicating the name recognition built up by the most visible campaigners.

For thousands this was their ‘first movement’. ‘We’ve never been involved in something like this,’ was a common refrain across the country. Many at India Gate said they would volunteer to clean up Ramlila grounds. From the news interviews conducted among the crowds at India Gate, it seemed clear that people were still thinking about the implications and not there just out of a pure sense of victory...

New dramatic video: Tsunami wave spills over seawall, smashes boats, cars

JAPAN, Tsunami Earthquake, March 11, 2011

This video really brought tears to my eyes. I think that even if someone describes the problem in Japan right now so thoroughly with words...You really have to see it to believe it. I'm so glad that people are getting rescued...I'm glad, every rescue means one less death...God bless them,...

My deep condolences for all the " Tsunami and Earthquake Victims " and their families in JAPAN; and the rest of the Pacific countries that were hit.
